The 6th call for Seed Project Proposals is now OPEN. This call aims to provide seed funding for short-term (3-6 months) exploratory projects to be carried out by two or more partners, at least one of them being from the N4E Consortium. External institutions (especially companies and SMEs) are encouraged to participate.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• Topics: Proposals must address innovative ideas and methods to increase energy efficiency through the use of disruptive nanophotonics approaches
• Deadline for submission of applications: May 3, 2013, 12:00 CET
• Project duration: 3-6 months
• Project start date: by July 1, 2013
• Project, including reporting must be finished by December 31, 2013
• Indicative (maximum) budget per project: 40.000€
• Indicative budget for the call: 150.000€

The Nanophotonics for Energy Efficiency Network of Excellence (N4E•NoE) opens Calls for Seed Projects twice a year.

The objective of a Seed Project Call is to encourage the exploration of challenging ideas with high potential impact. The programme is open to Members of the N4E Consortium and external Institutions and provides funding under the following conditions:

• Maximum duration: 6 months. 
• Minimum number of participants: 2. At least one participant must be a Member of the N4E Consortium.
• Participants external to the Consortium must become Associate Members (this is a straightforward procedure with no cost involved)

Proposals should address innovative ideas and concepts to increase energy efficiency through the use of nanophotonics.
